League Rules

Golfzon App: All players must download and create an account in the Golfzon app. This app will be used to log in to your profile, log scores, and track MyPractice sessions.

Round Booking: Book rounds as usual through our website or by phone, but notify a staff member before starting. We will set course parameters and start the round to ensure it qualifies.

Round Duration: A minimum of 3 hours is required to complete all 18 holes. Please book sufficient time to complete the round in one session.

Closest-to-Pin Contest: Take a photo after all players have hit their tee shots on the designated closest-to-pin contest holes, showing the remaining distance for each player’s second shot. Email the photo to info@shanksbrandon.ca with your team name and “SWL Closest to the Pin” in the subject line. Include the player’s real name for the shot you think won. Failure to complete these steps will result in disqualification for prizes or credit.

Score Submission: Take a photo of the scorecard screen after your round and email it to info@shanksbrandon.ca with your team name and “SWL” in the subject line. Failure to provide this evidence will result in the disqualification of that week’s results.

Weekly Rounds: Each weekly round must be completed and submitted within 9 days, starting on a Monday and ending the following Wednesday.

Spare Players: Spare players are allowed during the regular season, but only on a case-by-case basis during playoffs. A spare must have an equal or greater handicap index than the regular team member or must have played at least three times during the regular season.

Partial Teams: Teams can play with fewer than four players, but no extra shots will be granted. A 2-player team will play as a 2-man scramble.

Tees: Men will play from the White tees, and Women will play from the Red tees, which will be preset before the round.

Gameplay Settings

Gimmies: 4.92-foot gimmies will be preset.

Course Conditions: Set to mild. No mulligans are allowed.

Profile: All players must play on the “Amateur” profile with lie penalties for incorrect surfaces used.

Pay attention to the indicated lie: Fairway, Rough, Heavy Rough, Fairway Bunker (White), and Greenside Bunker (Orange).

LED Putt Light: There will be no LED putting indicator during scramble format. Pay attention to the pace and line of your teammates.

Playoffs

  • The number of playoff teams will be determined after Week 1 based on registration numbers. The playoffs will follow a bracket format (e.g., 1 vs low, 2 vs second low) similar to March Madness.
  • Teams in the playoffs do not need to play at the same time but are encouraged to do so. Contact details of captains will be shared to facilitate coordination.

Playoff Seeding Tiebreaker:

  • Ties for playoff seeding will be broken by the most qualifying rounds submitted.
  • If still tied, the number of birdies made in the final qualifying round will determine the
    tiebreaker.

Please adhere to these rules to ensure fair play and a fun experience for everyone!
